Gadget Placement (Optional)

The “Local Time” gadget can be placed in Accounts, Contacts, Leads, Opportunities, and Cases pages. The Salesforce Administrator typically changes the layouts for these pages and adds the gadget in a desired location.

The following example shows how to place the gadget in the Accounts page. Similar procedure can be followed to place the gadget in Contacts, Leads, Opportunities, and Cases pages.

Step 1 – Click on the Accounts tab and open any account.


Step 2 – Click on the Edit Layout link to change the page layout.


Step 3 – Select Visualforce Pages in the Account Layout section and then add the Local Time gadget to your preferred location.

Step 4 – Customize the gadget by clicking on the wrench icon as shown in the following screenshot.

Step 5 – Input the values shown in the following screenshot and click the OK button.

Step 6 – Click “Save” in the Account Layout section. The gadget is now added to the Accounts page.
